2025 Info for Volunteers
The Mansfield Downtown Partnership thanks you for volunteering your time and efforts in support of the Celebrate Mansfield Festival! We are looking forward to a day full of music, food, and fun for our community, thanks to your help!
Below is information to help you plan for your time with us. If you are representing a group, please share this page with all of your group members.
EVENT INFO
DATE: Saturday, September 27, 2025
LOCATION: Downtown Storrs including Betsy Paterson Square, Dog Lane, Royce Circle, Bolton Road Ext., and Wilbur Cross Way.
CHECK-IN: When you arrive, please check in at the HQ Booth, located near The Oaks on the Square leasing office at 12 Royce Circle (see map). At check-in, you will receive your assignment and Festival t-shirt.
CHECK-OUT: All volunteers must check-out after their shift.
GETTING HERE
If you live on the UConn campus or within walking distance, we strongly recommend walking to the event. We cannot guarantee parking availability.
ROAD CLOSURES: 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Dog Lane from Storrs Road to the east intersection of Royce Circle (near Jefferson Fry)
Royce Circle from Dog Lane to Wilbur Cross Way (at Nash-Zimmer)
Wilbur Cross Way from Royce Circle to Elsie Marsh Way (near Bright Path)
Bolton Road Ext. (next to CVS)
West Access Road (behind Huskies)
BICYCLES: Bikes may be locked in the racks at the Nash-Zimmer Transportation Center or Downtown Storrs Parking Garage on Royce Circle. Please walk your bike through the Festival site.
BUSES: WRTD, CTtransit, and UConn buses will be operating on an adjusted schedule due to the road closures. Please check the bus lines websites for more information.
PARKING: If you drive, please carpool. Parking will be available in the followinglocations (see attached map):
Downtown Storrs Parking Garage Free and open for the day
Dog Lane lot
Greek Church lot
E. O. Smith High School lot
DO NOT PARK in the following lots:
Storrs Commons (Starbucks)
University Plaza (Oriental Café)
Price Chopper
Storrs Post Office
WHAT TO WEAR & BRING
WHAT TO WEAR:
The Celebrate Mansfield Festival is an outdoor event. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. There will be a lot of walking!
WHAT TO BRING:
The Festival is a low-waste event. Please bring your own reusable water bottle. Water coolers will be available at the Festival HQ booth.
We recommend a book bag or purse to carry necessary items. Please note: There is not a secure place to leave bags, coats, or other personal items. The Mansfield Downtown Partnership is not responsible for lost personal items.
RESTROOMS:
Public restrooms are located in the Nash-Zimmer Transportation Center and portables will be located on Dog Lane, across the street from Head Husky Barber Shop and on Wilbur Cross Way near Kathmandu Kitchen

ANNOUNCEMENT:
All weather-related changes will be announced no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, Sept. 26.
Each volunteer group representative will be notified by email.

Please Note: The event schedule will remain the same in the rain location. The HQ Booth will be in the main entry of the high school
CONFIRMATION OF SERVICE
If you would like confirmation of service after the event, please mark the appropriate box on your sign-in form. Please be sure to print clearly so we can deliver your confirmation.
