2026 Info for Volunteers
The Mansfield Downtown Partnership thanks you for volunteering your time and efforts in support of the Celebrate Mansfield Festival! We are looking forward to a day full of music, food, and fun for our community, thanks to your help!
Below is information to help you plan for your time with us. If you are representing a group, please share this page with all of your group members.
EVENT INFO
DATE: Saturday, September 26, 2026
LOCATION CHANGE: The Festival will be held INDOORS at E. O. Smith High School
1235 Storrs Road, Storrs, CT 06268
Across the street from CVS and next to UConn School of Fine Arts
CHECK-IN: When you arrive, please check in at the HQ Booth, which will be in the entry (ENT) of the school.
At check-in, you will receive your assignment and Festival t-shirt.
CHECK-OUT: All volunteers must check-out after their shift.
GETTING HERE
If you live on the UConn campus or within walking distance, we strongly recommend walking to the event. We cannot guarantee parking availability.
BUSES: WRTD, CTtransit, and UConn buses all serve Downtown Storrs. Please check the bus lines websites for more information.
PARKING: If you drive, please carpool. Parking will be available in the following locations:
UConn lots - Please be mindful of posted signage on restricted lots.
In the Mansfield Town Hall municipal lots (4 S. Eagleville Road, Storrs, CT 06268)
In the Downtown Storrs Parking Garage (free all day for the Festival!) (33 Royce Circle, Storrs, CT 06268)
DO NOT PARK in the following lots:
Storrs Commons (Starbucks)
University Plaza (Oriental Café)
Price Chopper
Storrs Post Office
WHAT TO WEAR & BRING
WHAT TO WEAR:
The Celebrate Mansfield Festival will be held indoors, but some tasks will require volunteers to be outside at times. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. There will be a fair amount of walking!
WHAT TO BRING:
The Festival is a low-waste event. Please bring your own reusable water bottle. There are water fountains throughout the school.
We recommend a book bag or purse to carry necessary items. Please note: There is not a secure place to leave bags, coats, or other personal items. The Mansfield Downtown Partnership is not responsible for lost personal items.
CONFIRMATION OF SERVICE
If you would like confirmation of service after the event, please mark the appropriate box on your sign-in form. Please be sure to print clearly so we can deliver your confirmation.
